City Council suspends regular session on June 15 in observance of City Charter Day

Through a resolution, the 21^st City Council will be suspending its regular session scheduled for June 15, the City Charter Day.

Cagayan de Oro City Charter Day is officially celebrated every June 15, commemorating the signing of Republic Act. 521, which elevated the municipality of Cagayan de Misamis into a chartered city in 1950.

By virtue of Republic Act. No. 7670, the date is declared a special non-working holiday in the city.

Mayor Rolando A. Uy will also deliver his State of the City Address on June 15, outlining his administration’s accomplishments and future plans. (JBD/SP)
