City Council hails VM Bebot for leadership, public service feats

The 21st City Council of Cagayan de Oro unanimously passed two separate resolutions congratulating and commending Vice Mayor Jocelyn “Bebot” Rodriguez for her recent achievements in leadership and public service.

The first measure recognizes VM Bebot for being conferred the 2025 Pagasa Regional Award by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Region 10 last September 17, 2025, at the Limketkai Luxe Hotel.

In 2024, CSC-10 awarded VM Bebot the Dangal ng Bayan Award for her high ethical standards in public service. This year, she is conferred another citation for her outstanding contributions that significantly impact the public and various departments.

Both distinctions are historic, as she is the first Vice Mayor in Northern Mindanao to ever receive such prestigious recognition.

Another resolution commended VM Bebot for her election as Regional Vice President of the Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines (VMLP) Region X, and for her designation as Interim Vice President for Mindanao of the VMLP National Chapter.

It is worth noting that VM Bebot has consistently championed programs and advocacies aimed at empowering communities, strengthening local governance, and promoting inclusive development. Her recent recognitions further affirm her dedication to public service and leadership excellence. (JDO/SP)
