City Council adds new members to committees

THE city legislature, presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, during its Regular Session on Monday has unanimously voted to elect the members of the Committee on Barangay Affairs, which by law is automatically chaired by the President of the Liga ng mga Barangay (LNB).

Sponsored by LNB President and Councilor Marlo L. Tabac, elected were SK Federation President and Councilor Kenneth John Sacala as vice chair, with Councilors Maximo Rodriguez, III, Al Legaspi Sr., and Paolo Nicolo Gaane as members.

The Council likewise elected minority member Councilor Yevonna Yacine B. Emano as additional member of three committees, namely: agriculture, fisheries & aquatic resources; public utilities; and sports and youth development.

Councilor Gaane was also elected member of the committee on sports and youth development.

Meanwhile, the environment committee chaired by Councilor Enrico D. Salcedo will have additional members in Councilors Roger Abaday and Imee Rose Moreno.

Moreno was also elected to join the committee on social services.

The Blue Ribbon & Ethics Committee will also have additional members: Councilor Legaspi and Councilor Sacala. (FDC/SP)
