Abbu urges Bayabas officials to unite, respect for community
“ANGAY nato magkahiusa para sa atong katawhan sa barangay… respect, dignity, loyalty ug efficiency sa trabaho pinaagi niini atong mapakita ang tinuoray nga pag-alagad sa katawhan”.
This was the inspirational message of Councilor Jose Pepe S. Abbu, Jr. during the flag raising ceremony of the Barangay Council of Bayabas headed by Punong Barangay Eddie Abrogar. Councilor Abbu urged barangay workers to continue doing their best to serve the people of the barangay and emphasized that they are servants of the community.
“Ato lang buhaton ang tahas nga dili lang nato gamiton ang politika,” he stressed.
ANNUAL BUDGET
Councilor Abbu also highlighted that the City Council already approved its annual budget for this year including the Sangguniang Kabataan budget. He informed that the city allocated P18 million for the rehabilitation and road projects of barangay Bayabas.
Abbu recalled that he rendered a special report asking for an investigation on the alleged anomalies of the City Housing and Urban Development Department (CHUDD) and an inventory of the city’s socialized housing projects. He said he also seeks investigation of the uncollected stall rentals of public markets.
“Pipila lang kana nga atong gipaningkamotan nga matagaan og katin-awan,” Abbu said.
Councilor Abbu expressed his gratitude to the barangay for their warm welcome and the services rendered to the people, saying that dedication to making the barangay a better place is truly admirable.
