Acenas cmte OKs alteration plan of  subd project in Brgy Indahag

THE application for Alteration of Plan of Ecoverde Sierra Phase 1 Subdivision in Barangay Indahag was endorsed by the City Council committee on subdivision and landed estate chaired by Councilor Dometilo Acenas Jr. to the committee on laws and rules chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Nacaya for appropriate action.

The plan involves the transfer of the deep well initially located at Block 14 Lot 1 of the said subdivision to Block 1 Lot 9.

The developer explained that upon drilling the area, no sufficient source of water was found that can sustain the demand of the subdivision, as per result of the report in the Geo Resistivity Survey.

According to Engr. Jomel De Jesus, project engineer of the subdivision, it was recommended that the deep well drilling be conducted within the area of Block 1 Lot 9 at a depth of 280 meters. This is due to the unconfined aquifer as presented in Inverted Resistivity Section, he cited.

It was learned that the reservoir or elevated water tank will also be transferred near the source at Block 1 Lot 9 of Phase 2. The vacated lot at Phase 1 will still be non-saleable and part of the parks and playgrounds, The Power learned.

Meanwhile, the committee endorsed to the committee on finance chaired by Councilor Edna Dahino the payment of just compensation in the amount of P11.3 million to a lot owner whose property was affected by a proposed city project in barangay San Simon. The lot, which covers an area of 45,312 square meters will be used for the city’s resettlement site/land banking project. (SP/JBD)
