Just compensation payment OKd

The city continues to settle its obligation to lot owners whose properties were affected by development projects.

The 19th City Council during its regular session presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy enacted an ordinance appropriating P8.2 million to be made available for the full payment of the claim for just compensation of a lot in Barangay Lumbia.

The property, which covers an area of 31,037 square meters, will be used as resettlement site/land banking purposes of the city government.

Legislators likewise authorized City Mayor Oscar Moreno to sign the Deed of Absolute Sale for the purpose.

The committees on subdivision and landed estate and on laws and rules respectively chaired by Councilors Edgar S. Cabanlas and Ian Mark Q. Nacaya sponsored the ordinance.
