VM Uy refers request for police outpost to committee on peace and order

THE Office of the City Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy referred to the City Council committee on police, fire and public safety chaired by Councilor Romeo V. Calizo, the letter from Macapaya Hills Oro Settlers Homeowners Association (MAHOSAI) Inc., requesting for police outpost and police visibility in the area.


MAHOSAI is an association organized by TS Sendong Survivors of NHA CDO Bayanihan Village, Phase 1-Macapaya. The resettlement is about 5.6 kilometers away from the Cogon Police Station (Police Precinct 2), The Power learned.


In a letter addressed to Vice Mayor Uy, the association president requested for the construction/provision of a police outpost in the area so that the police can closely monitor the people and the vehicles coming in and out of their area.


As a community, he said they need to have a peaceful and quite place to live in. He also acknowledged the partnership with the duly constituted authorities in gathering and reporting of information on security concerns, threats on terrorism and other forms of criminality in their area of jurisdiction.
