Budget hearing begins

MARATHON budget deliberations will begin this week.

The City Council during its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy constituted the City Council as a Committee of the Whole to deliberate on the Cagayan de Oro Executive Budget (General Fund and Special Account-Local Economic Enterprises) for calendar year 2018.

In view of this, the City Council suspended all committee meetings for the duration except in cases involving measures certified as urgent and without prejudice to the submission of documents to committee members for perusal.

Vice Mayor Uy appointed Councilor Teodulfo E. Lao, vice chair of the Committee on finance and appropriations, to preside over the budget hearing.
