DISCUSSIONS on the contract between the city government and Mega Integrated Agro-Livestock Farms Corporation covering the management of the City Slaughterhouse in Barangay Cugman will start on Wednesday, June 14.

Councilor Ian Mark Nacaya, chair of the City Council committee on economic enterprises has invited concerned department heads, Erwin Bryan See, president of Mega Integrated Livestock Farm and Dr. Arturo S. de Jesus, regional director of the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) to attend the scheduled meeting at 2:00 p.m. at the City Council Session Hall.

It may be recalled that the councilor gave a special report on the slaughterhouse and questioned the fees that are paid to the city as a result of its operations. He cited the need for the legislative body to revisit the ordinance on the city’s contract with Mega Farms.
