Renewal of lease contract with Comelec OKd

The City’s Commission on Election (COMELEC) will continue to its occupancy at the three-door commercial building located at Cruz Taal–Burgos Streets.

This after the City Council during its regular session on Monday presided by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy enacted an ordinance authorizing Mayor Oscar S. Moreno to enter into and sign the Lease of Contract (Renewal) covering the use of the building.

The Gavel learned this covers the period January 1 to December 31 this year under certain terms and conditions.

The city government has been providing the office space for the agency to have a place where it can efficiently serve the city’s constituents and conduct its election-related activities.

The ordinance was endorsed by the committees on finance, budget, and appropriation and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Edna Dahino and Ian Mark Nacaya respectively.
