Desiree “Des” M. Dahino is a City Councilor of Cagayan de Oro known for her commitment to education, inclusive development, and service to families. With a background in psychology and years of experience in education, she brings a practical and people-centered approach to public service.
A licensed psychometrician and educator, she has worked closely with students and families, advocating for improved learning environments and support systems—particularly for children with special needs. Her work reflects a strong belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
Councilor Dahino graduated with a degree in Psychology from Cebu Doctors’ University. She previously served as a teacher at Evangelical Achievers’ Academy, where she contributed to student development and well-being. She also played a role in organizational development within her family’s business, supporting initiatives on employee engagement and workplace culture.
Throughout her career, she has supported programs focused on early childhood education, literacy, and inclusive services for underserved communities. As a public servant, she continues to push for accessible and community-based support systems for children with special needs and their families.
