SP oks MOA with Ayala Foundation

THE 20th City Council, in its regular session Monday, enacted an ordinance ratifying the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between City Mayor Rolando A. Uy and the Ayala Foundation, Inc. (AFI) for the implementation of the HAPAG Movement Program of Globe Telecom, Inc. through the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Office.

The program seeks to support vulnerable families by addressing hunger and promoting sustainable livelihoods. Both parties intend to collaborate in implementing the program within the city, jointly focusing on assisting 400 families for a maximum of six (6) months. The initiative will primarily involve providing supplementary livelihood kits to households in the city.

AFI, as the lead organizer of the program in collaboration with CSWD-CDO, will assume the role of project lead for the Hapag Program. It will also serve as the primary point of contact with Globe Telecom, Inc. (Globe) and the Ayala Group. AFI will provide direction and guidance for the program based on Globe's instructions, among other responsibilities.

As the lead convener, CSWD-CDO will serve as the community implementation lead for the program. It will directly engage with and act as the primary contact point for communities and potential implementation partners.

CSWD-CDO will also supervise the on-the-ground implementation of the program, which includes tasks such as procurement, negotiation, contracting, and coordination with communities, potential suppliers, and implementers, among other duties.
