Social services cmte to tackle request for renovation of Child Dev’t Center in Tablon
THE request of Barangay Tablon for the renovation of the Purok-4 Child Development Center will soon be tackled by the City Council committee on social services chaired by Councilor Reuben R. Daba.
The Barangay Council of Tablon established the day care center, also known as Child Development Center (CDC) at Purok-4, where a number of children ages three to five years old are catered.
According to barangay officials, the CDC has been existing for many years but no major renovation has been implemented.
In order to make the CDC conducive to learning and socialization of the children, there is a need to renovate the said center, said the officials.
Section 1 of Article 14 of the 1987 Philippine Constitution provides that the state shall promote the right of all citizens to quality education at all levels and shall take appropriate steps to make such education accessible to all.
The CDC aims to influence the future of children by shaping their intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development.
An Early Childhood Center is a laboratory preschool for the Early Childhood program of the city. Its mission is to facilitate and create a learning environment for young children through education and/or parenting, The Power learned. (SP/JBD)
