PSAP gets re-accredited

THE renewal of the application of the Psycho-Social Association of the Philippines (PSAP), Inc. for accreditation as a member of the city’s Local Special Bodies (LSB) pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2016-97 and Article 64, Rule XIII of the Rules and Regulations Implementing the 1991 Local Government Code, was approved by the 18th City Council during the 79th regular session presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy.


PSAP, an organization, which adheres to the Philippine Constitution, falls under the sectoral classification of social services. It has a track record of three years in service and has an existing 35 members. PSAP’s beneficiaries include the street kids. The NGO also conducts stress debriefing for victims of disasters. Its scope covers the entire Philippines, The Power learned.

The re-accreditation of PSAP was endorsed by the committees on urban and rural poor during its meeting presided over by Councilor Romeo V. Calizo and on laws and rules chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Q. Nacaya. (EF)
