Goking brings internet woes of San Simon to SP

THE 18th City Council headed by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy, through the committee on public utilities chaired by Councilor Teodulfo E. Lao will be looking into the internet connectivity needs of San Simon residents.

This, after Councilor George Goking, chair of the committee on trade and commerce, endorsed to the committee the resolution of the Barangay Council of San Simon.

Barangay officials are requesting Globe Telecommunications to install a cell site in the barangay to serve the needs of its constituents.

Councilor Goking said he has been conducting consultations to hear the concerns and issues of different sectors of the community. Internet connectivity is one of these, he said.

COMPUTERS

In the resolution, the barangay cited that Iponan High School San Simon Annex has 50 computer units that are not effectively used due to the absence of internet connection.

Iponan High School is ready to help high school students be computer literate and upgrade their educational training for future employment, cited the barangay officials.

Councilor Goking expresses hopes that the matter will be speedily acted upon.
