SP OKs barangay budgets

THE 18th City Council during its 72nd regular session yesterday presided over by City Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy adopted separate resolutions returning to the Barangay Councils of Barangay Nos. 7 and 39, their respective ordinances covering their annual budgets for 2018.

Barangay 7 has an estimated income of P2,392,777 as against expenditures of the same amount, while Barangay 39 has a budget of P2,115,426 this year.

Out of the said allocations, P451,784 and P394,794 are intended for Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE). The 20-percent Development Fund of the two barangays are pegged at P267,997.00 and P195,120.00, respectively.

Meanwhile, P237,978 and P210,243 have been reserved for Sangguniang Kabataan activities pursuant to the 426(b) of RA 7160, The Power learned.

The legislations were favorably endorsed by the committees on barangay affairs and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Yan Lam Lim and Ian Mark Nacaya, respectively. (JAO)
