SP OKs brgy budgets

THE 18th City Council during its 71st regular session Monday presided over by City Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy adopted separate resolutions returning to the Barangay Councils of Barangay Pagalungan and Barangay No. 6, their Ordinances No. 015 and No. 02 series of 2017.

These covers the Supplemental Budget No. 1 of Barangay Pagalungan for Calendar Year 2017 in the amount of P667,711 and the annual budget of Barangay 6 for 2018 with an estimated income of P2,018,509.00, as against expenditures of the same amount.

Out of the said allocations, P30,000.00 and P480,938.00 are intended for Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) while the 20% Barangay’s Development Fund are pegged at P2,238,167.00 P219,981.00, respectively. The amount of P53,594.00 and P200,551.00 has been reserved for Sangguniang Kabataan activities pursuant to the 426(b) of RA 7160, The Power learned.

The legislations were reviewed by the committees on barangay affairs and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Yan Lam S. Lim and Ian Mark Q. Nacaya, respectively. (JAO)
