Dads OK pact with LBP on electronic payment
THE 18th City Council during its 69th regular session presided by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy, approved an ordinance authorizing Mayor Oscar Moreno to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement with the Land Bank of the Philippines, covering the City’s adoption of the Land Bank Point-of-Sale Payment electronic banking services, under the terms and conditions stipulated therein.
Under the MOA, the LBP enables its Partner Institutions to do electronic banking transactions for their cash management requirement such as collection and cash disbursement among others and the LGU therewith desires to avail the services offered by Land Bank.
The provisions set forth in the MOA covers acceptance of payment which shall be made through valid and existing ATM/Debit/Credit Card or Prepaid Cash Card issued by LBP or other banks.
The ordinance was reviewed and endorsed by the committee on ways and means and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors George Goking and Ian Mark Nacaya, respectively. (EF)
