Gan cites drainage, lighting problems along coastal rd projt
COUNCILOR Leon D. M. Gan on Monday aired several concerns regarding the implementation of the coastal road project from Barangay Gusa to Igpit, Opol.
In his special report during the 64th regular session of the 18th City Council, the councilor said the first concern is on the drainage system. Gan said according to the residents, the drainage is not sufficient to cater to the water volume.
The councilor called the attention of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to fast track the road project so that the construction of drainage will be executed next.
The second concerns the insufficient lights from Kauswagan to Barra Opol. Gan said the lighting must be checked and suggested that additional lighting be provided, considering that many are already traversing and travelling in that area.
Vice Mayor Uy referred the report to the committee on public utilities chaired by Councilor Teodulfo Lao for appropriate action. (EF)
