Dads accredit NGO in LSB

THE 18th City Council during its regular session on Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy, accredited the Northern Mindanao Aids Advocates (NORMAA), Inc. for purposes of its membership in the Local Special Bodies (LSB).

This is pursuant to Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Memorandum Circular and Article 64, Rule XIII of the Rules and Regulations Implementing the 1991 Local Government Code.

Through this, programs and projects of the organization will be funded by the city government as required under the Commission on Audit (COA) circular pertinent.

The Power learned that NORMAA was identified as one of the members of the Local Aids Council (LAC). The accreditation is one of the requirements to become a legitimate member of LAC.

The resolution was endorsed by the committees on health and sanitation and health insurance and on laws and rules respectively chaired by Councilors Maria Lourdes S. Gaane, M.D. and Ian Mark Nacaya. (JBD)
