Budgets of brgys OKd

THE 18th City Council during its regular session Monday presided over by Acting Vice Mayor Lordan Suan gave the go signal to the Barangay Councils of Bulua and Barangay 40 to implement their respective ordinances covering their budgets.

This, after the committees on barangay affairs and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Yan Lam Lim and Ian Mark Nacaya, respectively reviewed the ordinances and found these to be in order.

Barangay Bulua has an income of P23 million for 2017, with estimated expenditures of the same amount.

The 20-percent Development Fund of the barangay will be utilized to implement road concreting projects, development of Day Care Center and basketball court and rehabilitation of the barangay’s multi-purpose building.

The barangay also intends to implement other projects this year such as the installation of drainage, and road right-of-way acquisition at Zone 1, among others.

Meanwhile, the supplemental budget of Barangay 40 in the amount of P292,070 is appropriated for personal services and operating expenditures of the barangay.
