SP OKs expro of lot
AN ordinance authorizing City Mayor Oscar S. Moreno, thru the City Legal Officer to proceed with the filing of expropriation proceedings, in case of failure of negotiation, of a property in Barangay Kauswagan was approved by the 18th council during its 47th regular session presided by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy.
The property was affected by the proposed six- meter wide access road leading to the existing eight- meter-wide St. Mary’s Street in Barangay Kauswagan, this city.
It was learned that the residents of the Salvador Lago Compound, Kauswagan, requested for a road right-of- way.
According to the residents, the situation gives them so much stress, worries and anxieties as their daily lives is greatly affected especially now that the rainy season has already started and heavy rains turn their place into a small river.
The ordinance was reviewed and endorsed by the committees on urban and rural poor and on laws and rules respectfully chaired by Councilors Zaldy O. Ocon and Ian Mark Nacaya. (EF)
