SP asks MTCC to hold implementation of demolition order at Yacapin St.

TAKING the cudgels for landless residents, the 18th City Council during its regular session Monday, June 5, adopted a resolution earnestly requesting Presiding Judge Eleuteria A. Badoles-Algodon of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC)-Branch 2, to hold in abeyance the implementation of the demolition order issued in Civil Case No. R-C13-Nov-138, entitled: Marinela N. Velez, Represented by Atty. Eleazar S. Boycillo, Plaintiff, versus Rodolfo Baloc, Francis Baloc, and John Does, Defendants, For Unlawful Detainer and Damages, for a period of 90 days.

Councilor Zaldy Ocon, chair of the committee on urban and rural poor, filed the resolution to enable the city government to conduct socio-economic survey of the affected residents at Yacapin Street, and to identify a suitable relocation area for them.
