Goking brings TESDA to brgys

COUNCILOR George Goking, chair of the City Council committee on ways and means and trade, commerce and cooperatives and president of the Cagayan de Oro City Philippine Councilor’s League (PCL) visited several barangays for consultation on preferred courses of constituents under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

It was learned that as part of PCL program, 900 individuals in 24 barangays were able to enroll in TESDA courses such as Welding, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Automotive, among others.

For the second batch, 1,562 slots will be made available for residents in hinterland barangays and some rural barangays.

Councilor Goking expresses hopes that the program will reach all the city’s barangays and improve the livelihood of the city’s constituents.
