Agriculture & Fisheries & Cultural Communities

The Committee on Agriculture, Fisheries & Cultural Communities investigates and reports on all matters or proposed ordinances or resolutions related to agriculture, food production and agri-business, agricultural economic research, soil survey and conservation; agricultural education and extension services; animal industry and livestock quarantine, farm credits as well as matters dealing on farmer relation to landowner and program on comprehensive agrarian reform.


The Committee also investigates and reports on all matters or proposed ordinances or resolutions related to fisheries and aquatic resource preservation and development of fishing grounds; and construction of fish ponds, corrals, oyster beds, and regulatory measures therefor.


All matters directly and principally relating to cultural communities and Indigenous Peoples’ (IPs) welfare and development and their community areas. Formulate policies, plans and programs which will promote and protect the rights and well-being of Indigenous Peoples (IPs) and their ancestral domain, the preservation of their heritage; livelihood opportunities and programs for their growth and development.
